Meet Your Sewing Machine with Eliza

About This Class

Level: All - no experience needed. It is recommended that you have a sewing machine to bring. Ages: 16+ We provide: Expert instruction and fabric pieces to use for practice. You bring: Your home sewing machine, any accessories or presser feet you want to learn, your machine manual (if you have it), thread, and a bobbin that fits your machine. Total instruction time: 2 hours over 1 session Cost: $49 This class is an opportunity to learn what your sewing machine can do (and what you can do with it!) with the expert guidance of sewing instructor Eliza West. Bring any standard home sewing machine* and learn how to thread, select stitches, and adjust the tension. We'll explore other features, accessories, and basic machine maintenance as able. If you buy a Brother machine from Notion, this class is free with your purchase. *please no embroidery machines or sergers for this class! If you have purchased a Brother serger at Notion, you're welcome to enroll in our "Meet Your Serger" class. Notion operates on Western Abenaki land. LIABILITY WAIVER I understand that participation in this class/event may include inherently dangerous activities, including but not limited to the use of scissors, rotary cutting blades, pins, needles, and other sharp implements; the use of motorized sewing machines with sharp, fast-moving parts; and the use of hot steam irons and other electrified and/or high-temperature equipment. I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention. I release from all claims, demands, liability, right or causes of action of whatsoever kind and waive my right to sue Notion LLC, their employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims in any way connected with any injury, illness (including death), or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this class/event.
