Meet Your Serger with Eliza

About This Class

Level: All - no experience needed. It is recommended that you have a serger to bring. Ages: 16+ We provide: Expert instruction and materials to use for practice seams. You bring: Your home serger, 4 spools or cones of thread, as well as any accessories that came with your machine. If you own the manual, please bring it as well. Total instruction time: 2.5 hours Cost: $59 Own a serger but still building up your confidence in how to use it to it's full potential? In this class we'll walk through threading, tension, and stitch settings, before exploring how to sew different materials. You will leave able to confidently thread and sew with your serger. Notion operates on Western Abenaki land. LIABILITY WAIVER I understand that participation in this class/event may include inherently dangerous activities, including but not limited to the use of scissors, rotary cutting blades, pins, needles, and other sharp implements; the use of motorized sewing machines with sharp, fast-moving parts; and the use of hot steam irons and other electrified and/or high-temperature equipment. I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention.
