Level: Advanced beginner. It is recommended that you be confident using a sewing machine. Ages: 16+ We provide: Expert instruction, access to sewing machine and sewing tools. You bring: A copy of the Made By Rae "Luna Pants" pattern, plus fabric/notions specified by the pattern (we will cover how to choose fabric during the first class, so no need to purchase it beforehand). Participants receive 10% off class supplies purchased at Notion. Total instruction time: 13.5 hours over 5 sessions Cost: $149 Does the idea of sewing clothes make your brain hurt? In this class, we’ll sew a gender-neutral pair of lounge pants using the Luna Pants pattern from Made By Rae Patterns. You'll discover that you can master the alchemy of transforming 2D fabric to fit your 3D body. The first class is only 1.5hrs, and will start by reading the pattern, selecting your size and choosing fabric. Following sessions are 3hrs each and cover fitting principles and finishing techniques. You'll end the class with a comfy, versatile garment and the know-how to tackle sewing patterns at home! Limited to 6 participants; requires 3 to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled start date. Notion operates on Western Abenaki land.
