Sewing bags is such a fun way to inject handmade personality into the objects we use every day. The Buckthorn Backpack/Tote is a wonderfully versatile pattern that allows you to choose a simpler or more complex version of the project. Local bag maker and pattern designer Rachel Sterling will hold your hand through each step of construction, including attaching zippers and hardware and working with heavy-duty fabrics. Once you learn these basic skills, you'll be ready to tackle a wide variety of bag projects without fear!

Limited to 6 participants. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled start date of the series.

Please note our sewing studio space is on the second floor with no elevator access. We sincerely apologize for any difficulty this creates. Don't hesitate to contact us with questions at
