IMPORTANT NOTE: This class meets in three sessions, from 6:00-9:00 PM on July 11, 18 & 25. Registration from this page covers all three sessions.
Level: Easy. You should be comfortable using the basic functions of a sewing machine, but no quilting experience is required.
Ages: 16+
We provide: Expert instruction; use of a sewing machine and basic tool kit; and the template for a simple quilted project.
You bring: 4 coordinating fat quarters (18x22" pieces) or two half yards of quilting cotton in the prints/colors of your choice; coordinating thread, if desired - we provide black and white; 1/2 yard of muslin; and an 18-20” square of quilt batting. Registered participants receive 10% off class supplies purchased at Notion.

Quilting has taken on a life of its own as a modern art form, but it's also a fun, easy, and practical way to sew up scraps of fabric and let your imagination run wild! Local quilt pattern designer Rachel Sterling will walk you through how to cut and piece a simple quilt block and assemble it into a finished, machine-quilted sampler complete with batting, backing, and binding. Once you learn these basic skills, you'll be ready to create quilts of all shapes and sizes!
Limited to 6 participants. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled start date of the series.

If registering on behalf of a minor child, I acknowledge that I am their parent or legal guardian and agree to their participation and to the above liability waiver on their behalf.
