About the event

IMPORTANT NOTE: This class meets in two sessions, from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM on both April 4th and 11th. Registration from this page covers both sessions.

Level:  Beginner - suitable for those who have never knit before.

Ages: 16+

We provide:  Everything! Yarn, needles, expert instruction, and a pattern for a simple headband project.

You bring:  Yourself

Total instruction time: 6 hours over two sessions

Always wanted to learn to knit? There’s no time like the present to pick up this fun and practical hobby! Over the course of two sessions, you will learn the basic knit and purl stitches and combine them to create a reusable cotton washcloth--a fabulous eco-friendly knitting project for spring! Instructor Becky DeVerna is an educator who has been knitting for nearly 20 years. She will walk you through every step of the process with lots of personal help and troubleshooting along the way. You’ll be ready to knit your heart out in no time!

This class is desgined for true beginners who have never picked up a pair of needles (or need a serious refresher).

Limited to 5 students. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled date.
