Part class, part support group, this offering is the perfect way to jump start your first-ever sock project and help you through the rough spots. We provide a complimentary basic sock pattern for a lightweight all-season sock. Expert instructor Becky DeVerna will walk you through every step with lots of individualized support to demystify some of the trickiest knitting skills involved in sock construction. The goal is for you to complete your first sock over the course of the class time and be prepared to successfully complete the pair on your own.
This class is designed for intermediate to advanced knitters. You should be very comfortable with casting on and off, working the knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, and working increases and decreases. Please knit a gauge swatch in advance of the class to ensure accurate sizing of your project. The pattern gauge is 7 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch.
Limited to 6 students. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled date.
