Part class, part support group, this offering is the perfect way to jump start your first-ever sweater project and help you through the rough spots. We will be knitting the Novice Sweater - Chunky Edition from Danish designer Petite Knits. The top-down, all-in-one raglan construction will keep things simple as you follow the mechanics of sweater construction, and the chunky design makes for quick knitting. In each of the four sessions, the instructor will review one of the key construction steps and prepare you for the week's "homework."
This class is designed for intermediate knitters. You should be able to cast on and off, work the knit and purl stitches, knit in the round, and work basic increases and decreases. Please download the pattern (available from Ravelry or PetiteKnit.com) and knit a gauge swatch before the first class so that you will be ready to cast on. You should plan to make time for knitting during the time between class sessions.
Limited to 5 students. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled date.
