Handmade Gifts: Zippered Pouches

Local sewing pattern designer Rachel Sterling will walk you through how to make a zippered coin purse and wristlet, complete with a convenient detachable strap. Make a matching set or two different bags to put in two different stockings. These versatile bags are super functional as makeup pouches, purse organizers, and so much more. If you’ve never sewn a zipper, Rachel’s easy method will demystify it for you in no time!

Level:  Easy. You must be confident threading and using the basic functions of a sewing machine.

Ages: 16+

We provide:  Sewing pattern for two different bags and three hours of expert instruction.

You bring: 

• 1 ¼ yards of quilting cotton (¾ yard for the wristlet and ½ yard for the coin purse; fat quarters work well)
• 1 yard of light to medium weight interfacing
• One ¾” swivel hook and one ¾” d-ring
• Two 9” zippers

Class length: 3 hours

Limited to 6 participants. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled date.

I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention. I release from all claims, demands, liability, right or causes of action of whatsoever kind and waive my right to sue Notion LLC, their employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims in any way connected with any injury, illness (including death), or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this class/event. If registering on behalf of a minor child, I acknowledge that I am their parent or legal guardian and agree to their participation and to the above liability waiver on their behalf.
