Crochet a Granny Square

Ages: 16+

Level:  Easy - you should be comfortable with chaining and single crochet.

We provide:  A granny square crochet pattern and three hours of expert instruction.

You bring:  A small amount of worsted weight yarn in one or more colors and a 4-6mm crochet hook.

Total instruction time: 3 hours

Granny squares can be a building block for an infinite variety of crochet projects, from the traditional to the modern. It's also a great zero-waste project because it allows you to use up small amounts of leftover yarn. Over the course of three hours in our studio, you will learn the basic granny square technique using a simple pattern that you can get creative with as your confidence grows. Hilary will walk you through every step of the process with lots of personal help and troubleshooting along the way.

This class is easy, but designed for those who have crocheted before and are comfortable with making slip knots, chaining, and working either single or double crochet. It is perfect for those who have attended our Learn to Crochet class and want to take the next step with their crochet hook.

Limited to 5 students. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled date.
