Family Craft Party

Kids ages 5+ and their grownups are invited to an evening of creativity for all ages! Families will gather at Notion Fabric & Craft, where staff from Wilder Arts Studio will meet kids and walk them to the new studio at 7 Main Street to enjoy a craft project, pizza, and a movie. Caregivers will stay at Notion for an informal craft circle with hors d'oeuvres and time to connect with other adults. Families will come together at the end to share cupcakes and see what everyone has made!

DETAILS - KIDS

Children will join us at Wilder Arts for a night of needle felting, a pizza party, and movie screening! Children will all learn how to make a small felted “painting,” using our collection of upcycled wool roving, fleece, foam, and embroidery hoops. We will then dig into cheese and pepperoni pizzas while we all settle in for a movie. Once the movie is over, it’ll be time for adults to return to pick up their kids, celebrate their creations, and have a cupcake party!

DETAILS - ADULTS

Bring a fiber craft project of your choice, be it knitting, crochet, felting, embroidery, or anything else; or purchase a beginner-friendly cross stitch kit for $15. All skill levels are welcome - we love supporting budding crafters, though please be aware that this is not a formal instruction session. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. 

Notion and Wilder Arts operate on Western Abenaki land. 

LIABILITY WAIVER - NOTION

I understand that participation in this class/event may include inherently dangerous activities, including but not limited to the use of scissors, rotary cutting blades, pins, needles, and other sharp implements; the use of motorized sewing machines with sharp, fast-moving parts; and the use of hot steam irons and other electrified and/or high-temperature equipment. I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention. I release from all claims, demands, liability, right or causes of action of whatsoever kind and waive my right to sue Notion LLC, their employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims in any way connected with any injury, illness (including death), or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this class/event. If registering on behalf of a minor child, I acknowledge that I am their parent or legal guardian and agree to their participation and to the above liability waiver on their behalf.

LIABILITY WAIVER - WILDER ARTS

I hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless Wilder Arts Studio, LLC for, from, and against all liability because of any bodily injury, or property damage, known or unknown, which may occur or result from the participation of the above named child in any and all activities whether the result of negligence or for any other cause of Wilder Arts Studio. I individually, and as a parent/guardian for my child, have read this release and understood all the terms. I execute it voluntarily and with full knowledge of its significance.

BY REGISTERING FOR THIS EVENT, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE LIABILITY WAIVER.
