Ages: 16+ Level: Advanced beginner. We provide: Sewing machine, basic tools, and expert instruction for designing and excecuting your quilt project You bring: A copy of the Lo & Behold Stitchery Mosaic Star Quilt pattern (available in-store) and fabric as called for by the pattern - students can choose to make any size they wish (see note below). Students receive 10% off supplies purchased at Notion. Total instruction time: 10 hours over 5 sessions Cost: $129 This class will teach you classic quilting techniques with a modern twist - the perfect entry point if you are a newer quilter who's ready to dive into a substantial project. The mosaic star is a staple of traditional quilting and a great way to learn basic cutting, piecing, and finishing techniques. Instructor Patty has been a passionate quilter for over 35 years and will walk you through the project with lots of tips and tricks along the way. Note: The pattern offers size options from baby through queen. Students are welcome to choose any size they wish, with the understanding that larger sizes will require more work outside of class time. Limited to 6 participants. Requires 3 participants to run. You will receive 72 hours' notice and a full refund in the event of cancellation due to low enrollment. Notion operates on Western Abenaki land. LIABILITY WAIVER I understand that participation in this class/event may include inherently dangerous activities, including but not limited to the use of scissors, rotary cutting blades, pins, needles, and other sharp implements; the use of motorized sewing machines with sharp, fast-moving parts; and the use of hot steam irons and other electrified and/or high-temperature equipment. I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention. I release from all claims, demands, liability, right or causes of action of whatsoever kind and waive my right to sue Notion LLC, their employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims in any way connected with any injury, illness (including death), or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this class/event. If registering on behalf of a minor child, I acknowledge that I am their parent or legal guardian and agree to their participation and to the above liability waiver on their behalf.
